Tase him again!

I've recently been questioning that tasers have been sold to us as "an alternative to deadly force" and questioning abuses of power but on the case of Andrew Meyer, the University of Florida student now famous for video of him saying "Don't tase me, bro"?

Dude totally had it coming.

I understand John Stewart called it a clear case of police overreaction combined with student douche-baggery.

BTW, in following our Taser link the other day, I realize that we were discussing taser as an alternative to shooting. I now realize that it is more likely an alternative to whupping the guy upside the head with the stick. When dealing with unarmed agitated people the stick is more likely than the Glock. So, is Taser preferrable to concussion?

I think it was at Robert McKee's Story Seminar (which, despite what I'm about to type, I recommend highly) where someone was pontificating in the guise of asking a question, and I realized that though I'd spent mumbledy hundreds of dollars and three solid days to listen to an opinionated asshole spout wacky theories about story structure, I'd done that to listen to a specific one, and the guy asking the question wasn't that person.

McKee handled it well, but that was the turning point after which I realized that I'd be okay with just taking the people who want to pontificate from the question mic out in body bags, and skip the whole tase-ing them thing.
