so the couple wants to have babies...wonder if the "puppies" will be allowed to choose their own lifestyle(s)or will they have to follow the pack?

Hmmm... I'm the first to raise my hackles at issues of discrimination over sexual or lifestyle issues, but it seems like they're trying to have it both ways: she says she's a pet and is treated as such, and that seems to me like the bus driver is just following the rules!

Yeah, the bus driver was out of line. But this sticks in my craw:

The couple, who live on benefits in a council house and plan to start a family,

You're living on welfare in public housing, and you want to have kids?

Bleah.

I'm with Dan. If she's a pet, she can't get on the bus.

I'm also with crasch. Living on welfare in public housing and ya want to pop out babies for everyone else to support? BS there.

Maybe its time to get the pet spayed. Neuter the owner as well.

But then the bus driver should just be saying: "I'm sorry, no pets allowed." - Not what he did say and do. And is she's a pet, is the sex 'animal cruelty'? Laughing.

It doesn't look like he cooks/cleans much either..

I hope the bus driver gets dealt with, and these two get jobs.

From a sub's perspective..

I agree with Meuon.

Heh. If I were being 'good' I'd leave it at that. But he's left me alone for a week... [laughing]

My take on it? She's a pet within the culture the two of them share. They take it to the rest of us when she wears the collar and leash in public, but she's still human within the greater context of society. In my opinion, it's up to her Master to decide how far he's going to take it and whether she gets on the bus as 'his pet' or not. Not up to the bus driver to decide not to let her on because she has on a collar/leash. Or dressed in leather. Or wearing goth make up. Or etc etc.

As far as starting a family on the government dole, that's a whole other issue. And I'd hate to think that their lifestyle played into it. I know there are a lot of Dom/subs who are contributing members of society and not leeching off the gov't.

Bottom line: If you can't afford to feed your pets, you shouldn't have any!

I wonder, since they're on the dole, how do they pay for all that mallgoth swag, eyeliner, and hair dye?

If the little pet DOES get pregnant, I think when nature calls they should take her to the kennel, place her in a cage, and wait for her litter without the benefit of a bed, meds, etc. that non-pet members of society get.

After all, "It's my culture and my choice. It isn't hurting anyone...." Whatever you say, you little poodle haired lassie.
