Fact Checking the Republic Presidential campaign

Media Matters fact-checks the first Republican presidential primary debate.

Aside from the civil libertarian flavor provided by Paul and Johnson, the candidates mostly stuck to Republican talking points on issues like foreign policy, gas prices, and health care costs that have already been debunked.

I wish they would have instant reply referees in debates. Call people out on their BS with the facts.

I found it interesting that the fact checking of Johnson was based on its subjective accuracy rather than its objective accuracy. That has me questioning the fact checking objectivity of Media Matters.

Might be because Ron Paul doesn't attempt to justify anything with pragmatism, he sticks to principle. Paul says "I believe in X", Johnson says "I believe in X because of Y".
