I have a marketing coup for Google, if they're listening. Create a "free for all" parallel universe to Google+ called Google-, publicize, and let the public decide where their eyeballs land. You'll still get the eyeballs, still get the ad revenue, still get plenty of "real" (IP, etc) info on those eyeballs, etc, etc.
Disclaimers touting: "It's a big bad internet and no one can be sure who's who out there. We aren't trying, so if you meet someone who says he's Jesus.... hell, it might be true and might not. If you meet the Buddha, kill him before he kills you." Etc, etc.
Stir and serve with panache while basking in revenue on the left coast.

I've had my fill w/ social media "experts". So many didn't get on Twitter until 2009 and are just marketing folks looking for the next gig.
