Wierd that there's enough economic

Wierd that there's enough economic waste for a company to buy Facebook ads and then sell the resulting leads to 5 or 6 contractors or mortgage brokers, rather than those brokers trying to reach consumers more directly.

I think the word you're looking for is salesmanship. Somehow the guy with the facebook ads has convinced the mortgage brokers and contractors that he has the magic touch and can generate more useful leads than you could by yourself. Of course, mortgage brokers and contractors themselves are often shell corporations who exist to sell you to the people who will actually loan you the money or rebuild your garage.

Yeah, there's so bloody much friction in that market it's amazing. Even better is talking with guy #6 who's telling me "yeah, you're getting a really good deal, there's no way we can match that", but the fact that there are 8 different companies paying some schlub to run Facebook ads to generate leads, then have someone call me, who does the preliminaries and passes me over to someone else, and...

There are levels of profit in this whole "home ownership" scam that defy belief.
