Uber and the Denver PD

2014-07-21 22:09:18.084139+00 by Dan Lyke 1 comments

My Uber got pulled over by the Denver police — and then things got really weird.

Did I really want to take a ride from an individual who clearly lied to me, then was evasive when I asked one basic question?

Believe me, this is not an easy thing to do when we are taught as youngsters to respect authority, the uniform, the badge, the gun (which was clearly visible in his holster).

I’m proud of my decision. I’m proud of my Uber driver (he was very professional, honest and calm).

The Denver Sheriff and Police seem to have a lot of crossed wires and nepotism. Denver's Sheriff just resigned over mistreatment of inmates just a couple weeks after the jail chief got in trouble over detaining the Sheriff's ex-wife.

On the positive side, I don't think the Denver Sheriff or PD have ever shot an elk.
