Hiking & bobcats

Damn tiny lenses on point-n-shoots, not that I would've gotten a camera up in time anyway. Saw a bobcat today, hiking up near hill 88 and Fort Cronkite. Out in the middle of the day, walking up a fire road. An impressive beast, the size of a Labrador, but moves like a cat.

the way cats move is neat, it's like slinky's in a fur suit. Like sharks, Felines are a very old, but refined species. Canines may technically be more intelligent and evolved, but I have wondered what an intelligent human-equivelent feline species would be like.

Kinda like sysadmins, no? Both get really protective of their stuff. Both pretend disinterest but spend amazing amounts of effort protecting whoever feeds them. Neither will admit it, but both like to get scratched behind the ears.

Can't take it too far, I've never seen a sysadmin do that "one leg pointed straight up while they lick their crotch" thing, but that might just be a function of limited experience.

You haven't? I do that all the time.

But then I'm an exceptional example of the breed.
