Hi Flutterbarians, Bone Girl (Jen) and I have visited Canyon de Chelly (Great), Grand Canyon.. and are now leaving Zion Canyon on the way to the Burn.. Of those of you that will be there, we will be with the Lumerians will be at Dubious (5:00) and Esplanade right behind Nate Smith's Fire 'thingy' (big).

Zion is gorgeous. Hope you guys enjoyed it as much as I did. If you get a chance, have a little time to kill, or go near Vegas on the way back... check out Valley of Fire State Park. Really bizarre rock formations and Jen might like hunting for the glyphs left on them by the ancient indigents. Have fun at BurningMan. Mental, physical, chemical, and/or spiritual.

Zion.. Beautiful place.. felt like Disneyworld. Grand Canyon was pretty kewl.. Nice sunset at Point Royal (Grand Canyon, North Rim). But the crowd and vibe at Zion was all wrong. Still, we had a nice dinner at the lodge, great view, good food. I'm looking at maps with dotted lines.. (off-road).. Caves.. trails without chain handrails.. and thousands of footsteps..

I wholeheartedly recommend Bryce Canyon above Zion for beauty and especially for less of a carnival atmosphere. Give it a try sometime, if you're in the area...

Hmmmm.... Zion's only had that "jeez.... Marge, look.... ROCKS!" feeling one time for me. I've been 5 or 6 times, but I'm usually pretty focused on what I'm doing and not too concerned with other folks.

Bryce is beautiful, as is Cedar Breaks. Perhaps even prettier is Calf Creek Falls near Escalante. The entire area of Utah, east of I-15, is a dreamland for me.

Quick Update.. Been on-playa since Friday Night..Playa.Net just came up. Watching this place evolve, and helping it happen is really neat. Jen's made friends and been working on the "Temple of Honor", I just got done with Ranger Training, first part.. - On the way: Hiked to Lexington Arch and did the Great Basic National Park and Lehman Cave. Had a great time, almost no people.. Campground was quiet, only the deer snorting outside of my hammock woke me up. Pam and Clem and Shane are enjoying it as well.. Hadn't even had time to get the camera out.. yet.

Had people picking up equipment from me, and I'm recognizing that frantic "oh god, will it all come together" down here. Missing the playa.

Want a good post-mortem when it's all done...

Piss clear.
