Cashed in

Johnny Cash died last night due to "complications due to diabetes." Why does everyone have to die of some medical reason? Why not, "the Man in Black gave up living after losing his beloved wife, June..." (June passed away in May of this year)...

And almost missed this one: John Ritter died. I guess we don't have suffer through any more Three's Company reunions...

It's also worth noting that Warren Zevon passed in his sleep this last Sunday.

Cash and Warren in the same week...yeah, right after June died you knew Johnny wouldn't be around too much longer...I had REALLY gotten into listening to Johnny Cash about 7 or so years ago and found myself buying as much as I could over the past years...he was amazing...

Did anyone else catch the VH1 documentary on Warren Zevon the other night? Another great voice silenced...

But, if there is such a thing as an afterlife, I'm sure they're both saying Hi to Joey Ramone by now...heh

The definitive early Johnny Cash: The Love, God, Murder mini-box set. But you must compliment with at least one of the American Man albums to see what was doing with Rick Rubin until he passed.
