is a 6+ megapixel digital SLR with an EOS lens mount, so that you can mount regular Canon lenses on it. It has an "effective lens length" multiplier of 1.6, which means that a 35mm lens on this body is the equivalent of a 56mm lens on a normal 35mm camera.
