Oh yeah, read the latest Terry Pratchett
on the plane over: Night Watch
. I'd remarked before that with Thief of Time
he might have taken the universe too far, but the introduction of occasional time travel into the Discworld
universe works perfectly. In Night Watch
he explores the history of Vimes, the nature of police work, and the difference between the government, "the people", and committed individuals, and comes up with another great satire that's a joy to read. Recommended.
