MS-Search Error

2004-07-01 20:08:03.725845+02 by meuon 4 comments

Microsofts new search engine - is being slashdotted it seems, I tried to search for 'meuon' - a good vanity search to test a new engine, and got a typical MS-Error: EID: f:1658889542 - 1041:1041:10004:1059 HC: 71d61b14 I'm waiting so I can see what it shows up for Linux, will it be an impartial search engine?

Hmmm... I like its politics.

Maybe something changed between then and now because I just tried it and got good results, including a direct link to your page. You also get referenced under 'mueon' for the spelling challenged. As an aside, I discovered through this search engine that 'snex' is a mathemathical theorem. (Tho' we know better)

Funny, my Linux search comes up with the following domains in order:

linuxgazette.net linuxpipeline.com linuxbase.org lxr.linux.no

Linux.com did not make the first 3 pages.

On Google, I got: www.linux.org www.redhat.com www.linux.com www.linux-mandrake.com www.suse.com/us www.linuxjournal.com www.kernel.org

- And the "more useful every day" is funny, but shows up on everything.

meuon, that's precisely what makes it so funny. Unintended juxtaposition ;-)
