UI Watching

I love watching how different people work with various GUI's and input/output devices. This is an interesting video of some neat code using a multi-input touch screen, and there are more linked to this one. Sure the touch screen is neat, it's what and how he does things that is interesting to me.

I'd like to see somebody adapt this to an Excel Spreadsheet...you know, reduce the numbers by squeezing them.

I'm getting more interested in GUIs for the masses. I learned yeserday how to set up a touchscreen voting machine for the next primary. If you touch for Write-in, you get an onscreen keyboard to type in the name. I thought it was cool, but a number of judges stared at it dumbfounded. Not everyone is as used to this as we are. I will be interested to see who has more trouble when we try it in the field next month. Fortunately, we are also using scannable paper ballots.
