PGP is not only encryption, it is also the Public Genitals Project - Which uses LCD screens to display images.. mounted interestingly on performance artists. A unique mixture of technology and performance art. I would like to have seen more info on the site about the public's reaction.

I dunno. I think I'd like to get behind this project (as in moral support), but I'm a bit confused as to their point. At first it seems that they want to bring attention to our social attitudes about nudity. But then they talk about blurring the image based on how many times "sex" and "violence" (a common pairing that already sets my teeth on edge anyway) appear on major news sites. What message is this supposed to convey? That talking about sex somehow makes us less distinct? That we lose our sexual individuality? That talking about sex is bad?

That is one of the problems with technologically complex art, where all of the facets of what makes it happen and why are not apparent to the observer/participant. - And that is exactly why I wonder what the reaction to normal people was. I've been working on a technological 'art' project concept, and keep having to change it.. making it simpler.

They better be careful or the government(yeah OUR government) might initiate and new form of image recognition. Did I type that out loud? must still be hung over....
