Starship Exeter is a fan made Star Trek episode thats pretty close to the mark. They made it seriously like the original with just a hint of homage to the originals cheese. You'll laugh, you'll cry you'll say it was better than Insurrection

I'll laugh, I'll cry -- over the weak editing, and the slightly weak writing, which frustrates the fuck out of me -- why people will go to that much length on the shooting, and get the other stuff wrong, I simply can't understand.

Nope. For what they were doing, their implementation wasn't as good as it could have been. Just because you're parody doesn't relieve you of the neccessity of spelling and punctuation -- so to speak.
