Spring's been especially good for business this year, so I decided to see why. I found some flora and fauna of interest along the John Muir Trail today.
The pinkie? It belongs to a lady who knows her salamanders.

No pics from me this weekend.. My camera's memory stick fried.. On the good side, Linux formatted it (128k memory stick) to 64k (vfat)... but it has lots of errors. And for some reason.. I didn't have a spare stick. So how is Joan?

Joan's a great human. I call her "The Intrepid One." She gave me my treasured hiking stick when I was running around and acting crazy after my divorce.... and carved on the top of it.... "Walk." Good advice from a great friend.
She also accompanied me when I drove Dan's BMW to SF. Magic landed us at a place called Sunset State Beach on New Year's Eve at sunset.
Joan calls me the "Answer to a Wish".... which is proof positive; be careful what you wish for.... they might post embarassing pics of you on the web.
