Everyone talked about how the government lied to get us into a destructive war 10,000 miles away. No one talked about how the government lies to keep us in a destructive war against a gigantic, demonic, phantom army of alleged sexual predators, porn addicts, and swingers.

I would submit that the Daily Kos denizens are not the place to look for actual "liberals" or "progressives." They've run most of them off (including women and feminists who are capable of having mature discussions about sex, sexuality, and political effects on same) over the years.

I think most Democrats don't have much outrage at the actions of people like Larry Craig, Ted Haggard or Bob Allen, or even at the extramarital sexual escapades of Mitt Romney or Newt Gingrich, although there might be some disgust at the actions of GOP stalwards like Mark Foley. I think the outrage comes from the hypocrisy of all of those people having condemned the very actions they were participating in.
