Bricked iPhones

Can a CEO be any more schizophrenic? First, Jobs comes out blasting DRM. Later, he bricks early-adopter's $600 iPhones (just a few weeks after slapping them in the face with a 33% price cut). And with Vista driving Windows XP sales, the big players are trying as hard as they can to make Ubuntu look good! Not to mention other open projects like the OpenMoko - the cell phone that the manufacturer WANTS you to modify!

Steve has been pushing the "Mac as appliance" (ie: glorified toaster) notion since the Mac was introduced. It's only now that computing technology is getting to the point where he can completely control the process. If you didn't see it coming, you weren't paying attention.

Apple Users Talking Class-Action Lawsuit Over iPhone Locking... Hello, what part of the Apple product direction for the past two and a half decades didn't they understand?
