Swivel power plugs

Power Delivery Systems swivel connector, an electrical connector for 110v power that looks an awful lot like those quick connect pneumatic connectors, and lets your cord rotate around the connector.

They look like they're still in the prototype stage, the "Pricing Information" link goes to a "fill out your info, it'll take a few weeks" page, but I'm intrigued.

If I could buy those.. or a set of 12+... I would.

Those are actually really awesome. I'd love a few of those, especially for running the weedeater around the yard during the spring.

Shall I contact them, telling them I can account for 50 or so if the price is on the order of $5-10 per connector pair?

it'd be a "nice to have" at the moment, but lately it's a bit of a budget crisis, so it doesn't fall under a "need to have" quite yet. After the first of the year though, when business picks back up, I may be interested though.

It's worth the inquiry. $10 per pair is steep... but.. Hmm...

Yeah, I've been thinking about it a bit more, and I either want 2 of them, or I want 'em at mass-production price cheap.

Buy 50 of them and use the one's you need. Then sell the rest of them here on Flutterby.

Yeah, as I'm thinking about it further, all of my Festool tools have a quick release on the handle, it just doesn't rotate, so any addition of this would be an extra pigtail (because the dust collector takes a standard plug), and I'm not sure I want to do this in the house sockets, so it's either in every socket, or it's one extension cord...
