pro-active search

Twitter chatbot responds to global warming discussion on Twitter:

In a way, what Leck has created is a pro-active search engine: it answers twitter users who aren't even aware of their own ignorance.

ycombinator user olefoo observes that this is like "clippy" for the Internet:

I see you're trying to deny global warming. Would you like to:

  1. research the available facts and science?
  2. Have an authority figure you trust tell you, you're wrong?
  3. Meet other like-minded singles?

I'd like to see a second chatbot designed to go at this from the skeptics side then let the two go at each other.

Yep. I've mentioned to a couple of people that some of my Facebook and Twitter presence is Perl scripts, and the question I immediately get is "so how do you know that it's not just your Perl scripts talking to other people's Perl?"

And I'm also not sure that this isn't just another example of a Twitter spammer.
