Segway? Lame, and so (almost) last millenium (December 3rd, 2001). Here's the Solowheel. YouTube video of the Solowheel in action. Via Coolhunting via TC.

These are the same people I sent an inquiry about their quad skates and was told that the skates were not actually being produced yet (i.e. did not exist) and that they would send me an email when they were. I never got that email.
In short, I wouldn't assume production Solowheels actually exist until you see one being used by someone who isn't an employee of Inventists or one of their friends.
Also, these guys have been pitching desperately for resellers for about two years now, so I sense they are having difficulty getting their wares into channel.
You'll notice also that on their store page they are having to supplement the actual interesting items they've gotten into production (the aquaskipper and the orbital skates, neither of which look like they're actually usable) with late-night-infomercial crap like a soda saver and a rotisserie.
(Yes, I'm a little annoyed with these people. I would respect them more if they would put a big VAPORWARE imprint in red letters over every page of their site.)
Edit again: I would pay them a low three figures for those quad skates in my size if they could ever manage to get the damned things made.
