DeHackEd: yeah I heard about that earlier this week. apparently it's pretty bad over in the EU
DeHackEd: they walk you through opening the event viewer, treat all the Application Error events as bad, and make you install teamviewer (a legit remote access tool) so they can take over your PC

I've had four or five calls like this (in the UK). I had a lot of fun with the second one, wasting as much of his time as I could, playing 'doddery old fool, hard of hearing, confused, etc, etc'. We must have been about 15 minutes in when I told him that I'd looked everywhere but couldn't find a 'Start' button on my typewriter. He hung up - very rude, I thought.
