Now there is a challenge, bringing these words back into vogue. I like supererogate and plan to use it in writing at least once a day for the next week. It should be easy I know several supererogates as it is.

Ever read Charles Mackay's Lost Beauties of the English Language ? Same sort of thing, but from 1874 in England.
