I used to think that publications like Popular Science were contractually obligated to print a blimp cover once a year. However, the idea never dies. Behold the Tethered Energy Blimp.

The problem with the internet and such mags is, when you do a sanity check a few years after the: "This will change humanity" phrases, they completely lose what little credibility that they had. It is just futurist techno porn to sell more advertisements and products. Still, I want my Flying Car and unlimited free/cheap energy.

they detract from the conversation. Commercial plugs are fine,
if they are relevant to the conversation, and if you don't
try to pretend to be a consumer. Annoying endorsements will be deleted
if you're lucky, if you're not a whole bunch of people smarter and
more articulate than you will ridicule you, and we will leave
such ridicule in place.
