Dan, you are in incredible physical shape, have an amazing (open) mind and social abilities. But you could be wearing a flaming pink shirt unbuttoned to you navel with very short tight white shorts pulled up tight with rainbow suspenders... and would probably be tagged as "confused" or "clown" before you would be tagged as "gay".

At our club dances (where people come in from other clubs), it's been kinda fun watching people figure me out: Partially because I'm a very gentle leader (and, as a newbie, sometimes a tentative one), but also because I do project a pretty het vibe, gay guys are unsure about how physical they can get when dancing with me.
It's a cool way to experience, to some extent, the other side of the patriarchy...
