Wikipedia is both a success and failure of the internet. It needs professional help, such as real encyclopedia staff and content, as well as crowdsourced. A blend of the two, with easy to identify sources would be excellent. Lately, when I need a snippit of hard intel, wikipedia is where I start to find vernacular and perspective, but when I find an authoritative source it is often different.

Commercial plugs are fine, if they are relevant to the conversation, and if you don't try to pretend to be a consumer. Annoying endorsements will be deleted if you're lucky, if you're not a whole bunch of people smarter and more articulate than you will ridicule you, and we will leave such ridicule in place.
