That's a pretty awesome idea. You should be able to create white list for sites you want searched or if you want to throw a bigger net use a black list of domains/site you do not want included. I'm being a little obtuse but, why locally hosted?? I'm a bit surprised this doesn't exist already. You can force google to a single domain search in the advanced settings.

Locally hosted because I'm becoming more and more disenchanted with the notions of "the cloud". Having other people sneak advertising or other agenda driven crap into my content is getting old.
We will not edit your comments. However, we may delete your comments, or cause them to be hidden behind another link, if we feel they detract from the conversation. Commercial plugs are fine, if they are relevant to the conversation, and if you don't try to pretend to be a consumer. Annoying endorsements will be deleted if you're lucky, if you're not a whole bunch of people smarter and more articulate than you will ridicule you, and we will leave such ridicule in place.
