Al Jazeera America: Revealed: NSA pushed 9/11 as key 'sound bite' to justify surveillance

Via TechDirt: NSA's Talking Points On Snowden Leaks Say To Emphasize 9/11, which points out that that the "over 50 cases" of dealing with "terrorist events" has been totally debunked.

And I'd just like to point out that these shysters are still pushing this line despite the fact that it was passengers who stopped the shoe bomber.
