The various drone-aware people in my social media circles are scoffing harder than the materials and mechanical engineering folks did at Musk's Hyperloop proposal. So, yeh, it's sci fi.

As somone working on Air Traffic Control software for NASA and the FAA, who's peripherally involved with adding Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (we call 'em UAV's, only you rabble call 'em drones) I'm with the scoffers on this one.

As I pointed out on Twitter, you can scoff all you want about Amazon's dumbass drone idea because it was already a HUGE success -- in getting everyone to talk about Amazon on Cyber Monday.
