You can only automate what you know how to do. If you lose the knowledge of how
things are made no amount of automation will lead to improved quality or
innovation. Also, the shrinking middle class, in my opinion, is due more to the
loss of skilled manufacturing jobs than it is to any other factor. Without the
middle class how will you sell more Lexuses?
