It could be listening and doing that, It's just not showing you any indication.

Yeah, that's the down-side of not trusting my devices.
Speaking of which, I'm kind of liking the notion of running all of my apps in separate Docker instances...

But the other side of that: as I've long suggested, the real problem is that the NSA isn't using these powers for good. If there were drone strikes against robocallers and spammers, I think most of us would be entirely okay with warrantless surveillance and extrajudicial executions.
