I've responded to such emails by asking which of my sophomore years of college was their favorite (I had more than four to pick from).

Just had a LinkedIn recruiter dialogue from a company recruiter for a company that would actually be a good fit.. but she can't figure out how to send a direct email to addresses I gave her, or give me hers.
What I have noticed is the LinkedIn tech recruiter profiles all appear to be attractive young girls, and not have any other functional attributes. I'll wager a fair chunk of them are fake.
We will not edit your comments. However, we may delete your comments, or cause them to be hidden behind another link, if we feel they detract from the conversation. Commercial plugs are fine, if they are relevant to the conversation, and if you don't try to pretend to be a consumer. Annoying endorsements will be deleted if you're lucky, if you're not a whole bunch of people smarter and more articulate than you will ridicule you, and we will leave such ridicule in place.
