Stagnation

In 2002, I was handed a "fortune cookie" like slip of paper (at Burning Man of course) that said: "Do not confuse stability with stagnation". I've been staring at that for months, and am starting to do things about looking around for "whats next". As I do it, I see I don't fit into normal "job" application or large companies pigeonholes which has me considering re-inventing the world and starting a business again. Maybe a technology related business, maybe not so "tech". What profitable niches could/should be filled?
