Sigh. Guess this incident where a 7 year old kills a 5 year old with an air rifle will be all over the news tomorrow. This isn't stuff I'd normally put on Flutterby except that it seemed germane to the <link url="http://www.flutterby.com/archives/do.cgi?action=browseentry&id=2341">discussion on gun control</link> in that without (responsible) parenting we're gonna see accidents no matter what controls on weapons exist.

It could have been a sharp stick, but we don't see guys on TV getting poked with sharp sticks and going on like it did not hurt them. We do see people getting shot with VERY large guns on TV and movies and not getting hurt much, so why should he be afraid to pull the trigger on a BB gun. We need MORE REALISTIC violence with people reacting to the violence like they should. Is it the media's fault though? No, It's the parents. BB Gun, Kitchen Knives or fists... these are just the tools.
