Unattributed to protect the innocent: Apparently some telcos and ISPs were hit pretty hard during the recent DFW tornados, they were the ones that "haven't learned to insulate their CO gear from tornados by placing management offices around the window perimeter."

Storms passed a few miles north of the NOC that has Monkeyfist.com (casabah.org, and all my other domains). I was in Dallas studying the radar track with one eye, and with the other I was poised to hit enter on 'shutdown -r now' and to speed dial the NOC. :>

I just saw almost that same comment on a network mailing list I'm on...
