A Chronicle report on the transformation of Edgewater West to Hotel Ibiza, from a swinger's paradise to some sort of... well... before the switch I did want to make it over there to experience it. Now it just sounds like a bunch o' rowdy frat boyz.

My housemate went there one night...and he sort of *is* the rowdy frat boy type...and even he thought it was too much. The sort of meat market where all of the meat thinks it's too good for the other meat. Lots of drink, lots of Ecstasy, and a whole lot of posing. Coming from my housemate, who despite being a good guy is very wrapped up in the superficial trappings when it comes to dating/partying/etc...well, suffice to say I will never set foot in Ibiza. The $35 he had to pay to get in didn't exactly sound inviting either.

Yeah, it sure sounded to me like if you were looking for a place to dress up and get publicly suggestive, Jezebel's Joint was a hell of a lot more likely to be a fun evening, the people are likely to be more interesting, and the cover charge is lower.
