So I'm reading the Squid list, and see an event at the Odeon which includes "ethno tribal techno experimental music". Ummm... Yeah... right... Nice D.J., have a biscuit? [while Dan edges along the wall looking for an escape route...]

Wow, those are the four words that I use to screen out musical acts...if they are described any of those four I will probably steer clear. Two of the four and you might be able to pay me to go...if you were made of money.

All four? I'd run screaming from the venue, and anyone who tried to stop me would get gibbed.

If it included "trance," they'd be five for five on my list of avoidables.

Awww, I think you guys need to give new genres a chance. I mean, "ethno tribal", that's like Gloria Estefan meets Ladysmith Black Mombazo, right? Paul Simon on Meth. Or maybe Carlos Santana meets the didgeridoo? Definitely bagpipe.

Add techno.. and... well... Paul Simon on ecstacy plays the bagpipe in traffic. Might not be music, but it could make a very popular Fox TV special ("when genres go bad...").

In case you still have hopes of sleeping ever again, I'd like to point out Grindcore. Definitely the future.
