I fail to see what the controversy over this is. The good doctor appears to also be a shrewd investor. He uses the proceeds from his investments to fund medical research. There is no direct connection between strippers and medical research.

I guess I'm just confused.

I don't see any controversy either, I just thought it was good justification to hang out in nudie bars: "It's for medicine and the common good!" The cardiovascular aspect makes it even more apropos.

Of COURSE there is a connection! He is obviously doing the research to keep his clients from having heart attacks, brought on by getting overexcited watching the strippers. 8v)~
