Regarding the quote from Maureen Dowd, one of the things I find most disturbing these days is that, if the callers to Northwest Cable News are any measure, a large number of Americans apparently believe Saddam is directly responsible for the 911 attacks.

What happened to Osama Bin Laden and his followers? The mass population's memory has been trained by the mass media to last through a 2-3 minute advert break on the TV.. and that's it.
