via a 9600 baud satellite system and internet email through UUCP, but 10 years ago today version 1.0 of the Slackware distribution of Linux was released.

Wow. Memories. - Note: I ended up using KA9Q for some oddball gateways, one memorable one interfaces a DOS box to an AS400 via TCPIP.. still, 8 years later.. - Slackware. More memories. I am glad of and regret being on the U.S.S. RedHat now. Need to do more playing with Linux at the core and less database masterbation. On the other hand, databases pay.
