Off to Fresno and thence to Anaheim and back to Fresno and back to here and then down to Fresno again over the next 4 days. Updates will happen when/if they do. In the meantime, HGR1219 takes up the slack:

  • House votes to strip local warning labels off of food. If your state has determined that it wants stricter standards than the federal government, this provision will remove that and replace the local control with a federal bureacracy that'll cost a hundred million bucks.
  • Building an acrylic aquarium. Because, who doesn't want fish wrapped around a couple of walls? Looks like there's some handy notes on working with acrylic there too.
  • Brokeback Grocer was worth a giggle.
  • And, finally, there's been resurrection of a Zenith Data Systems - ZFL-181-92. Yep, it's a 4.77 MHz 8088 laptop with dual 720k floppies. If anyone has suggestions on how to make that puppy sing errr... squeak, post 'em here.

About that Zenith, if you added a math coprocessor I've heard you could do some raytracing on that class of hardware...

[still waiting to hear your opinion on running that file on your Zenith]

Heck, you could do raytracing on that hardware without the math coprocessor... It just took a little while.
