A lot of food

Holy cow. I now know what a $10k CostCo run looks like. I should have thought to take a camera and get a picture of carts lined up two wide at the exit, waiting for the receipt to catch up with us so that the guys doing the double-checking would let us out.
And, really, that was a $5k run, 'cause half of it was loaded on pallets from the back. Next year it all gets loaded on pallets, but we're learning.
A lot of "what on earth?" questions, but when you're provisioning for 2,200 people who'll be burning a few thousand calories... And this wasn't even the big food bill.

Just because this is a record of my life and I want all the notes down...
It struck home to me when I realized that I'd just loaded 72 lbs of pretzels and over a hundred lbs of potato chips into my cart.

Wow. That's big.
20 years ago, in my Albertson's Courtesy Clerk days, we used to have a lady come in about monthly who apparently filled artist riders for some promoter.
She typically filled 8 shopping carts.
We were ringing her out once, and as we got to $750, the register locked with an error code we'd never seen before; the manager had to actually go look it up in the manual.
"Maximum Ticket Amount".
They put it in there because they figured any ticket at a grocery store over $750 *had* to be an error. :-) We rang her out and started a new ticket. She was the only one who *ever* tripped it.
