End of the World?

Somehow, this Homeland Security press release scares me. Why is DHS urging people to patch their Windowas. Does MS06-040 also include a new improved Big Brother BackDoor? I'm liking my Ubuntu laptop more and more..

That ubuntu.org site scares me almost as bad.

Sorry, fixed link.

ubuntu.ORG is scary, if just for phrases like: "essential for the current neoliberal hegemonic agenda" - Enough socio-political triplespeak I'm really not sure what they stand for,

The terror alert level was dropping, and they hadn't yet come up with the tales of liquid explosives mixed in-flight.

Speaking of which, I wasn't following politics on that side of the pond that closely. What happened that the Brits needed that big dose of fear? Or was it just that the airlines weren't selling enough drinks?

Time to fly naked (think hospital type paper gowns at least..) with a small clear pouch of your papers and limited personal effects. No luggage, buy clothes on the other end. I can still think of ways of smuggling lots of C4 on board... I mean, the terrorists are going to die anyway, right? Why care if it, and the timer-detonator was swallowed or inserted...

The technological feat of 2007: Allah/God/?? manifests itself hovering above every group of anti-social zealot in the world and says: "You've been duped by your 'leaders', time to change your ways, or die now.. "

The sad thing, is by our reacting, media, increasing security, expending effort, increasing fear, uncertainty and doubt: They still win.

Beam me up Scotty. Scotty?!? darn.. it's just a cell phone.
