Where the hell's that global warming I've been promised? It's been cold out here. Normally we get ice on the windshields once or twice, yesterday there were large chunks in the puddles where cars had driven through them:

It's here in New Jersey; 70 degrees on December 1, about 30-40 degrees above what it normally is at this time of year.

Given your beach pictures (at least I assume you're that "Ralph Brandi") and what I remember about the gulfstream and actually going into the water on Jones Beach in October, sounds like it's surfing weather for y'all.

(We don't go into the water up here in Northern California, it's freakin' cold, having come down from the Bering Strait, and there are sharks.)

I remember shorts and a T-shirt one year on Christmas Day in Connecticut, probably circa 1983, so I can't speak to just how much the world is really off-kilter, but it sure feels that way.

This was taken Thursday morning (Nov 30th), East of El Paso, TX. My outdoor thermometer hit 18F that morning.
