poly people I can do without

2007-03-23 17:20:38.009779+00 by Dan Lyke 7 comments

Stolen from Jay: Poly people I can do without. Charlene and I met in a community where there was a lot of poly stuff going around, and we left that community for various reasons, but part of why I drifted away from it was that I saw some of those patterns pretty prevalently.

However, just because those things are particularly prevalent in poly communities doesn't mean that they're unique to them, a lot of those clues look like things that happen in two person relationships all the time too.

Um.... I'd say the whole process left me polyunsatiated. Perhaps it wasn't that bad for me, some would argue good, but the bonds were a bit too easily broken and I felt I needed to watch out for the "trans"..... while looking for the "cis."

Is that groan I hear one of pleasure or of pain?

I guess you were polyunsaturated. You need some hydrogenation.

Upon further reflection and contact I've decided poly folks are quarks, as they seem to come in 5 basic types: up, down, bottom, top, charm, strange.

Given those classifications, I don't seem to fit in.

That's leaving me feeling..... uh..... lepton.

"up, down, bottom, top, charm, strange": I count, um.... 6? (And should that have been spelled "leapt on"? ;-)

Ya see what happens to me? Anything above 2 and I just can't handle it......

and, yeah, there's a certain "spin" on lepton. <grin>

I'm trying to figure out some witty way to point out that the lepton's spin is a negative one... over two...
