I have been to Akea once and had a fairly miserable time there but one thing that I did appreciate was the displays showing small spaces. It amazed me how much could be crammed into so little space and still leave room to live.

There's a group in Atlanta calling themselves the "Mad Housers" They build prefab very small but lockable shelters and stealthily assemble them on seldom used lots (w/o "permission" from the "owners" - Can we really own something we didn't create?) and give them to homeless folks. A lot of them get removed by the owners, but a lot stay up and serve as shelter. see: http://www.madhousers.org/

Commercial plugs are fine, if they are relevant to the conversation, and if you don't try to pretend to be a consumer. Annoying endorsements will be deleted if you're lucky, if you're not a whole bunch of people smarter and more articulate than you will ridicule you, and we will leave such ridicule in place.
