  • The MediaWiki batch upload tool is maintenance/importImages.php.
  • I make a mean salsa, but I've never managed to reduce it to repeatable, so I'm looking for salsa recipes that look close so that I can document 'em. One such salsa recipe.
  • Shape Lock and Utile Plast are two low-temperature (circa 160°F) high density plastics.

When I make salsa, I use canned whole tomatoes (about half a blender's worth, one or two cans), juice from one lime, and the zest from one lime, a few jalepeno peppers (depending upon how hot I want it), a medium onion, a tablespoon of sugar, and fresh cilantro, throw everything into a blender and go to town. I find it quite good.

De-seed three fresh tomatoes. Put two of the tomatoes, leaves from 8 stalks of cilantro, a de-seeded jalapeno, a teaspoon of white vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of liquid smoke in a blender and puree, then dice the third tomato and stir it in (without blending) and you're done. This "party" salsa leaves no bad breath, but you could add onion and garlic as desired.

I've recently used Kydex for some things, it becomes malleable at around 350 degrees. I need to get some more, I was impressed with how well it formed. 160 would probably melt/soften in a hot car so I'd be less inclined to use it.
