Flutterby™! : New Toy

Bought a new soldering station for some projects, and to fix some things around the house including our main TV set. Bought a high-end hobbiest system, X-Tronic 5040-XTS, complete with a warming table and a jig to hold the unit for SMD (Surface Mount) component soldering. 25+ years ago, I was one of the best electronics technicians in town, and I've let those skills slide (implode?). Time to get back on that horse. Makes me wonder how long it will take to catch back up from vacuum tubes and 741 op-amp days. I've been doing the LED lights and other projects with a $20 cheap 15 watt iron...As I glean the apropos tools from the various corners of the "shop", it looks like all I am missing is a good modern O-Scope/Logic analyzer. My old 100mhz Tektronix no longer wants to play.
