The choice of story could lend itself to the medium. What story would you tell if you knew your PSP was going to generate "weird visuals" for you? Maybe 'cheating' in this way would be a good way to go, until the IF R&D is more advanced.

Well, "MTV horror" would be one of them, as per these PSP books. MTV horror never needs explanation or logic: just lots of flashy and spooky imagery. Add in some spooky shock sounds, and whammo, dime store novel made high-tech! And, of course, porno.
