What

This is my first attempt at trying to build a Wiki-like knowledge base on top of the Flutterby content management system.

This is a place for explanation, description and static links on a topic that's either too broad to be covered under a single link, or that you're just too lazy to find the real link to.

Selling Tupperware To Support 5 Kids

by:CluelessMe started: 2004-06-15 02:42:00.325821+02 updated: 2004-06-15 02:42:00.325821+02 I just started to sell Tupperware to help support my 5 children after a nasty divorce. My ex has since disappeared to another state and I do not expect support in any shape or form.

I can say that at first hand I thought it would be fairly easy since the name sells itself.

The problem is, it's expensive and it's competitors like Glad etc. are much cheaper.

I guess I had my hopes set too high when I first began and now I am losing money heavily invested into this MyTupperware business.

It's a shame that one cannot make an honest living selling classic plastic to help support her children. I am ashamed to say that I am almost at my wits end and may have indeed failed.

I figured if I bought a few domain names and got some hosting, that I could market the MyTupperware site better and generate some sales. Unfortunately I soon found out that my domain names are useless because no one told me I couldn't use the name Tupperware.

You would think that in all my efforts, time wasted, money invested that I would generate atleast one measly sale from the thousands of views on MyTupperware site. Not! Not even one...

I thought about mixing Avon into the mix and even belittling myself by going door to door. Unfortunately, with 5 children, one cannot possibly find the time nor an affordable babysitter to do so.

So, in my quest for some help, I found many people who you can pay to expand the plastic site with more images and so forth. But I already pay over $6 a month for the site, plus two domains to help advertise it, as well as the hosting for those domain names. And from the looks of their services, it isn't generating sales for those who buy into their slogan.

So why am I here? Answer - Google. I found this website through my search for more comprehensive help in promoting my website. And because I have spent two days online trying to come up with a better solid plan, I am disgusted and felt a need to vent. And here's where this site came into play. It said add a section about Tupperware and that is what I am doing. Though some would shame me for being so honest about my mishaps, I'm sure my post will not stay here anyways. Therefore, I've rambled my complaint and will close with one thought.

Be careful on high expectations when getting into any business. Even hours and days of research may get you back where you started. God bless you and your's and be wiser than me in your own quest.

Without a clue
